Students will define what a hero is. They’ll learn about problems faced by real historical figures, how they solved those problems, who they helped, and what traits they showed.
There are four activities which should be done in order.
1. Hero/Not a Hero (PDF)
Students decide if each person is a hero or not. Requires the Hero PowerPoint slides.
2. Agree/Disagree (PDF)
Students agree or disagree with each statement about heroes.
3. Rank The Heroes (PDF)
Students each read about a person from history, determine their heroic traits, and then rank the heroes.
4. Heroic Paper Chains (PDF)
Students use the traits from Activity 3 to form paper chains for each person.
