Students will write a structured piece of poetry based on details in Impression, Sunrise.

The writing template this time, which you can totally change, is:

  1. prepositional phrase – when
  2. prepositional phrase – where
  3. prepositional phrase – where
  4. start with "despite"
  5. start with "despite"
  6. start with a pronoun

  1. First, students just notice interesting details about this piece of art.
  2. Then, they answer a few focusing questions to get them thinking deeper.
  3. Now, using a six-line structure, students will write the first draft of their poem.
  4. Finally, they will revise their writing to make it sizzle!

The registration window closes on January 31st, 2022
