  4. start with "despite"
  5. start with "despite"
  6. start with a pronoun

Steps

  1. First, students just notice interesting details about this piece of art.
  2. Then, they answer a few focusing questions to get them thinking deeper.
  3. Now, using a six-line structure, students will write the first draft of their poem.
  4. Finally, they will revise their writing to make it sizzle!
