Original Paragraph Pluto is a small, icy world that lives at the very edge of our solar system in the Kuiper Belt. It was the ninth planet for a long time, but scientists reclassified Pluto as a โ€œdwarf planet.โ€ One reason they made this change was that Pluto turned out to be much smaller than initially thought. Even though it is quite small, Pluto has five known moons. The biggest is named Charon and is almost half the size of Pluto. Pluto and its moons are so far away that it takes sunlight about five and a half hours to get all the way out there.
