You’re looking at the USS West Mahomet a ship from World War I that’s sporting Dazzle camouflage. If you had a hard time figuring out the shape of that ship, then the Dazzle camo did its job! See, this type of camouflage wasn’t about blending in. Instead, it was meant to confuse enemy submarines about which direction the ship was moving.
