You are looking at a gigantic granite boulder in India known as Krishna’s Butterball. This rock is almost 20 feet tall and weighs about 250 tons. It looks like it’s going to roll down this hill at any minute, yet it has been in the same spot for at least 1000 years! In fact, several of India’s leaders have tried to have it moved over the years, but it has proved impossible. This kind of optical illusion is called a gravity hill. Krishna’s Butterball is a protected national monument in India and is part of the larger Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram, which is recognized as a World Heritage Site. 📷 Photo Credits:
