Many of us struggle to clearly explain gifted education.
- I’d try to explain every nuance to a parent who asked a simple question.
- I wouldn’t address parents’ fears about homework or finding friends.
- I’d alienate excited families who mentioned studying for the gifted program.
- I’d use a bunch of jargon that accidentally intimidated my audience.
But, to tell our story, we have to connect to how our community feels. We have to tell them what we don’t do, not list all of the things that we want to try to do.
