# An Olympic Sized Pool and 2 Liter Bottles (Episode 1)

Part 1 of Olympic Pool Equivalence

๐Ÿ”“ This is an unlocked sample! Byrdseed.TV is open for new memberships through May 31st, 2024. Join today!

### Objective

Students will find the information they need to calculate how many 2 liter bottles they could fill up using the water in an olympic-sized pool.

Interestingly, there is no "official" volume of an olympic-sized pool! Students have to make a choice โ€“ how deep will their pool be.

Inspired by Stupid Calculations.

### Steps

1. First, students will need to figure out how much water is in an olympic-sized pool.
2. I reveal my calculations - which may or may not be the same as what students arrived at. And that's ok!
