Objective

Learn how to do the "Remember" level of Bloom's Taxonomy well.

While I always want to move students up Bloom's Taxonomy throughout a lesson, they often need to simply remember before they can think. Here are some quick tips on how to vastly improve how you get students to memorize any material (even a deck of cards).

Steps

  1. I demonstrate my mnemonic for several African countries and let you try the next row.
  2. I unveil my mnemonic, show how the same technique works for learning Japanese, and then let the master talk about memorizing decks of cards.
