Students, after finishing part one, are armed with data about five caffeinated beverages. Now they will survey a set of peers and/or adults to uncover misconceptions about caffeine.

To prepare for the next part, students should find advertisements for their five beverages.

Steps

  1. Students conduct a survey, asking people to predict the amount of caffeine in each drink.
  2. They find the average of their survey responses
  3. Then graph the real data against the survey data.
  4. Finally, students will identify misconceptions and infer what might cause those misconceptions.
